The Ministry advises:

Demand Value and Quality

1. Only Shop at stores which offer good after sale service and warranty
2. Check all items ( to your satisfaction before leaving supplier)

Returning Damaged Items

1. Return it as soon as possible
2. Return it exactly as it was purchases, i.e do not tamper or have others tamper with it.

Warranty & Bills

1. A warranty should tell you if redress applies to the whole product of a particular part. (s)
2. What are yours and the supplier’s responsibility if item has fault?
3. Uplift a bill or receipt or any proof of purchase (it is your right).

Refunds & Exchanges

1. Find out if you could return items for an exchange or refund. If they are found faulty?
2. Do you have to pay any fee when returning items?

Loans

1. When requesting a loan understand the details about repaying.
2. Ask for Consumer Loan Disclosure Statements.
